Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Boy was that noise getting annoying. Cho didn’t know whether she wanted to leave or throw something at that stupid pencil. She was trying to read for crying out loud. Granted, she didn’t really have to read right now. It was more of a for-lack-of-a-better-thing-to-do sort of activity for the moment. All of Cho’s homework was done, as usual it had been done nearly right after it had been assigned. Now she just needed something to do. And that tapping noise was driving her insane. She would have said something, but the person whom the tapping pencil was coming from looked thoroughly engrossed in their studies. Far be it from Cho to stop whatever helped them. Besides, she was sure that if she said something it wouldn’t really matter much. Tapping pens and pencils seemed to be something that happened when the person whom the writing utensil belonged wasn’t really thinking much about what was going on around them. It was a sort of unconscious action.
It wasn’t uncommon for the Ravenclaw common room to be full of studying or reading students. When Cho thought about it, they really were all nerds. That didn’t bother her too much, at least she’d be graduating. Though, if she thought about it, maybe she should spend a little less time studying. After all, she’d be graduating next year and she really should have had a bit more fun.
Tap. Tap. She sighed and slammed the book shut. There was no use in reading here. She leaned back in her chair and looked around the room. She needed to get out of here. But where to go? The Library? Well that was always an option. She wondered if it was full of people studying. She looked outside and realized that it was raining just a bit. So that meant outside was out. Not that she minded the rain, but she didn’t want to come into the castle looking like a wet rat. Cho pushed her book away from her and stood up. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a light blue t-shirt. No one looked as she stood up, all too absorbed in what they were doing. For once she was glad that no one was looking at her. Cho Chang had a lot of friends, so she was rarely alone. Not having people around her was refreshing.
The Library it was. Cho began to walk out of the common room, empty handed and headed toward the library. Her hair was hanging down, straight and it moved only slightly with her steps. She made it to the Library without being followed, which was nice, and when she entered, she found that it wasn’t as full as she would have thought it would be. Almost automatically she began going through the books. She had all of her homework done, but maybe she could get an early start on things that they’d be studying later in the term. She pulled out a book on Defense Against the Dark Arts and walked over to a table. But soon she found her mind wandering as she looked out the window at the now faster falling rain. tag: katrina words: 534 notes: sorry it took so long and is kinda short credits: template made by jaylee of shadowplay;; lyrics Phil Colins True Colors
