"You don't know what I'm capable of, you don't know what I've done!"
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
The Malfoy family has a very distinct physical appearance to them and Draco Malfoy is no exception. The intense grey eyes, often referred to as cold but whether that’s because they’re naturally cruel looking or they’re owners are cruel is still being determined. The pale blonde hair, almost white in certain lights. And the ashen white skin being simply hereditary and having nothing to do with the amount of time spent in the sun. Draco proudly possesses all of these, though he wouldn’t mind the ability to tan every once in a while. More specifically to him, his face is rather pointed. From the sharp tip of his nose to the point of his chin he’s full of piercing (not really…) edges. Symbolic? Possibly. Though it sounds wrong he has pretty clear skin. Sure there’s the pimple here and there every once in a while but there are no obvious blemishes on his face, another gift from the gene pool. Standing at the average height of 5”8, he has a fairly lean build for someone his size and is a tad bit underweight. He’s not super skinny or lanky or anything but he’s got the body of a runner and is definitely known more for speed than strength.
The majority of the time, considering he lives at Hogwarts, he can be found in the Slytherin attire. Whether out of convenience or because it looks cooler he keeps the sleeves rolled up a few inches at the cuff and carries a brown side-saddle bag with him. Outside of school he generally wears neutral colors, nothing too bright or out there. He’s also been caught on several occasions wearing all black, not really for a fashion statement but just because he’s drawn to that color. Hard to say why... But he likes to look professional and like he has everything together. His blonde hair almost always has some kind of gel in it. Sometimes it’s slicked back other times it’s pushed to the side with an off center and obvious part. As he’s gotten older he’s begun to prefer the latter. Overall he’s an attractive guy; he’s managed to get a couple double-takes. But then again it really depends on what you define as good looking.
MOST LIKED FEATURE: Pretty much everything, but probably eyes.
MOST HATED FEATURE: His lack of muscle, he’s working on that though
HERITAGE: English
ETHNICITY: Very Caucasian
"The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure."
GENERAL PERSONALITY:
The thing about Draco Malfoy is that he’s able to compartmentalize. He suppresses the emotions he doesn’t want to feel. His father encourages superiority, discrimination, and meanness. In fact it’s all Draco’s ever known and because one of the things he wants most is to please his father he pushes away his compassion, kindness, and respect for others. So yes, Draco Malfoy has a good side but he chooses not to act on it. Most of the time he doesn’t even know he’s doing it. But when he feels his softer side creeping up he buries it underneath as weakness. In this way he has secluded his heart from people, because there’s no way he’s going to reveal this unfortunate part of him to anyone else. It would threaten his reputation, and he has a hard time admitting it to himself let alone another person. Which does cause him to be lonely, but he’s often too busy with his thoughts and plotting to care too much for relational support.
What are those thoughts exactly? He thinks about his future a lot. He’s an idealist of sorts and doesn’t always envision how difficult something might be once he’s got it, or even how difficult it will be to get it. Often times he gets ahead of himself and doesn’t realize it’s a mistake until he’s in too deep. He likes to picture things going well, how he rises to power and gains some position of honor. He also likes to imagine his enemies doing the opposite. You could say he’s ambitious, and that can be a good thing.
One of the things he’s most proud of is his mind. He’s smart in a cunning sort of way, and enjoys his resourcefulness in getting what he wants. He also enjoys brooding. He believes he deserves his desires and that other people can have what’s left over. And all simply because he’s Draco Malfoy; good looking, intelligent, and going somewhere in life. He believes strongly that the ends justify the means. If he wants something he’ll stop at nothing to get it and he won’t let something like lying, stealing, or any sort of trickery stand in his way. But that’s okay as long as he gets what he wants, because he knows that the result will be better for him, or even his family. He’s not someone who stands by and lets life happen to him either. He creates opportunities and doesn’t let very many chances slip by to advance his future. Though he does have his father as an unofficial agent providing him with numerous ways to get his foot in the door to the dark side. He’s persistent in almost anything he does from grades, to teasing certain classmates, to trying to please his family- though of course there’s a breaking point to everything it still takes a lot to bring him to the point of giving up. The main thing that could bring him to this point is the confirmation of his insecurities.
With the standing position of a pure-blood Malfoy heir, feared reputation in Hogwarts and as rumor has it death eater status he has a lot to keep up. He knows this and it terrifies him. Draco wants nothing more then to be something great. He wants to be like his father, or better. He wants the respect of the Dark Lord and above all he wants to prove himself. He doesn’t want to be attached to the assumption that he needs his family to defend him. And he knows that right now he doesn’t have that. So he feels he is standing on fragile ground that is ready to break at the first sign of weakness. And because he hasn’t completely proven himself yet he wonders if he’s actually even capable of it. Can he really be great or is he a fraud hiding behind the Malfoy name? Can he ever do something to permanently gain the approval of his father? Is he strong enough? And can others see his hidden fear? He has no idea but is determined to find the answer.

GENERAL HISTORY:
Born on June 5, 1980 to which at his arrival the doctor exclaimed (rather solemnly), “It’s a Malfoy” making Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy very proud parents. They provided for their only son a privileged life. Draco had the best of the best from multiple house-elves, designer onesies and as he got older more age appropriate clothing, to the coolest toys money and blackmail could buy. Having externally everything he could ever want his upbringing was far from healthy. Not just because he was spoiled but the influences flooding his ears from birth were nothing short of evil. The first word out of the young toddler’s mouth was “Mudblood” and so began the legacy of Draco Malfoy. Okay, maybe it was like the tenth. He was brought up to fear his father and respect his mother; though as he got older his mother’s over-protectiveness became a nuisance. However he never outgrew his admiration for Lucius. Nor his fear.
Around the age of five the rumor spread to the Malfoy household that the Dark Lord had returned. At this time Draco was introduced to the name Voldemort after he found his parents speaking in hushed panicked tones in the kitchen and asked them what “Val-mart” was? Of course, it was only a rumor. But his father seemed a little different once the news had passed. He appeared more uptight and stressed, though all Draco really noticed was the sudden lack of attention he was receiving. He accredited this partially to the now frequent visits of his Aunt Bella who would come to yell and rant until her hair frizzed about going to find this Voldemort to his father, who would then stalk into his study and not come out until morning. Draco distracted himself during these times by playing pranks on the house elves, particularly ones where they tripped or were injured in some way. When his father did occasionally show himself to his son it was either because his mother had informed Lucius of his bad behavior or to give him lectures. These lectures were mainly on the superiority of pure-bloods, and how the muggles and mudbloods were infiltrating the wizarding world in order to destroy its integrity and virtually rid it of all pure-blood families, like theirs. (Naturally the vocabulary of these talks varied on his age) As he spoke images of his parents disappearing forever would flash through his head. Even still Draco thrived on these speeches and the undivided attention they provided for him and his father.
The day he received his owl from Hogwarts Ernie Macmillan had been invited over by Draco’s mother and left suspiciously quick after seeing the bird saying he needed to see if his own letter had arrived as well. Draco was glad to see him go; he was dumber than a foot. He then set straight away to opening the envelope and devouring each word on the page. When his father found out about its delivery he reminded his son of the history of Slytherin and the line of relatives that had passed through Hogwarts in that house, as opposed to the other three less substantial houses. He knew he had to get into Slytherin or never show his face to the world again. When they arrived at the train station his father’s last words of advice before Draco boarded was how essential it was to make important friends. He only managed to succeed at his first task.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: (This was from another site... hence the whole Hermione thing.)
Draco sat silently in the living room of the Malfoy Manor. The white leather of the couch stuck to his back and legs as he waited for his father to arrive. The painful tension of the suspense and obvious thoughts of the woman across from him were beginning to irritate him. He could feel his mother’s fearful pleading eyes search the room for an escape, a port key, where she could take her husband and son and disappear forever. She was experienced. She knew the path the Dark Lord could lead people down, could lead her family down, and at the end of the path her loved one’s lives hung in the balance. Draco knew this as well and it sent a rush of adrenaline through his chest. It was a rush of excitement, and fear, but more so the thrill of being a part of something important. He looked at his mother; she was wearing black as if in mourning for the bright future she had hoped so desperately for him. Draco resisted glaring. She was his mother after all and he knew she only had his best interest at heart. But she was wrong. “Draco.” she began, breaking the silence, “You know you don’t have to do this. You don’t have to be a death eater. Your father won’t mi-“
“Don’t say he won’t mind.” Draco said with failed attempts to hide his impatience. “You know I have to do this. It’s my duty, mother. We owe it to the world to rid them of fools like… Dumbledore and take back what it means to be a true wizard. No more of this mudbloods doing magic talk. We need to put the muggles back in their rightful place, the Dark Lord says so.” He said, half reciting half letting each word sink in until he believed it himself. “What’s taking father so long anyways?”
“I don’t know.” His mother broke away from the incredulous stare that had formed on her face, to a distant glance at the fireplace. As if on cue it choked out a puff of dust, the ember flames scattering in the background and a tall solid figure stepped out. Lucius Malfoy. Draco lifted his back from the couch and rubbed his palms against his pant legs. He admired his father, especially the way he managed to look like he had just strolled in from a casual walk instead of having traveled by fireplace. His suit looked immaculate.
The man took a moment to assess the situation before him, his son and wife watching him expectantly. Draco didn’t dare speak first, but it didn’t take long for his father to finally announce his fate. “It’s been decided you’re to win the affections of the mudblood Hermione Granger.” Lucius said, with an expression of indifference or disdain. Draco couldn’t tell which but it seemed to be his father’s default face. “You must gain her trust, distract her from helping Potter in any way and you may just find yourself worthy enough to be called a death eater. That is, if you can manage to keep your act together.”
Draco nodded. This was an easier task then he thought it would be. Despite the fact that he avoided being within a ten foot radius of Granger so as to prevent himself from gagging, he couldn’t help but notice how much time she spent with Weasley. And if she hung around with Weasley who was poorer then the dirt on his front lawn she would be beyond flattered to have him, a pure-blood, interested in her. Though there was the issue of Potter and that he had tormented them in the past. But people can change, can’t they? Yes, he would take the remorseful begging-for-forgiveness-approach. He could also be charming when he wanted to be. He had to do this. Like his father said it was the only way to prove he was worthy. And he was worthy, he hoped. It would take some effort to alter his entire character, but he could handle that. Maybe there was some potion out there that would make him disgustingly nice. He grinned, and so it seemed that the infamous Draco Malfoy was having a change of heart.
“I can manage.”
