GENERAL PERSONALITY: Adelaide will be a little shy around people she just meets. She's hesitate and weary of those of her own gender due to her childhood until she's sure they won't do anything to her. It's all due to being treated like a second class person while living in the Malfoy's household. But once Adelaide gains the trust of friends, and she trusts them, Adelaide is extremely loyal to them.
Because she's shy around people she just meets, Adelaide seems like she wants to get to know them, but wants that bit of distance as well. But when Adelaide gets to know the new people, she'll warm up to them. But if there's any reason that Adelaide finds not to trust them, she'll begin to ignore them until either they get the hint she doesn't want anything to do with them, or it gets to the point where she needs to yell at them to leave her alone.

GENERAL HISTORY: One of twin daughters of Artemis and Regulus, Adelaide lived with her twin Aiah with their mother at their grandparents. Adelaide can't recall ever seeing her father. Though she can recall hearing her grandfather saying one time that her father was no good for her, Aiah, and their mother. When Adelaide was near four, their mother took them to the Malfoy's, since Narcissa was family, and left them there. Adelaide cried at Artemis' leaving since she and her grandparents were the only adults that she and Aiah knew until this point. Left in the hands of the Malfoy's, Adelaide spent her time with Aiah and Draco. When time past by, Adelaide was given hand-me down clothes (which were a size or two too big for her) from who knows who and given possibly the smallest room in the manor, but big enough for growth. And she'd been given the smallest portions of food, just enough to get by, but smaller than the others in the family. Adelaide would watch Aiah and Draco gain items from Lucius that they had wanted while she got nothing. Since she began living with the Malfoy's, Adelaide wondered what she had done to Lucius to make him treat her so poorly while Aiah got nearly everything she wanted.
One day, when Adelaide was eight, she had wandered into a room that had been off limits to her and found it full with all sorts of Dark Arts items. When Lucius found her, and severely punished her for it. Aiah tried to stand up for her at that point, but she got backhanded for it. Since then, Adelaide noted that Aiah stayed away from her. Adelaide did have a good, maybe decent, relationship with Aiah, but since then, Adelaide seemed to have lost something with her sister.
When she was ten, Adelaide received her Hogwarts letter and she feared that she would be sorted into Slytherin along with the rest of her family. She sat beneath the Sorting Hat and nearly plead not to be sorted into Slytherin. After what seemed like an eternity, she was sorted into Gryffindor. She made good friends with Harry and Ron, but was more weary of Hermione until the end of their first year. During her first year of Hogwarts, Adelaide gained a few pounds, which seemed to help fill out the hand-me down clothes she gained when she was a child.
That summer, Adelaide returned to the Manor, knowing that she was entering her own personal hell. She remained in her room for most of the summer, coming out only for meals and for the one trip to Diagon Alley. Second year began and Adelaide gained a mysterious and anonymous Christmas present of a Gringotts vault key. She didn't say anything to her family, though her friends knew about. The next summer and school were barely tolerable for Adelaide. It all changed one day during the summer between Adelaide's third and fourth year when she was in the family's sitting room reading and Lucius came up to her and hit her for apparently not telling him about the Gringotts key. Someone, Slytherin maybe, had learned of it and word got to Lucius about it.
That encounter was the last straw for Adelaide and she packed up what little she had and ran away to Diagon Alley. Because she was still underage, Adelaide knew she would need to return to the Manor once a year during the summer just because she called the place home. But during the rest of the summer, Adelaide lived in the Leaky Cauldron and found a job working at the ice cream parlour to help pay for her lodgings. The new school year began and Adelaide got herself safely to King's Cross without any help from her family, who apparently had no idea where she was or didn't care, and joined her friends on the Hogwarts Express.
Now in her fifth year, Adelaide had saved up enough money, along with the seemingly large amount of money that was in the vault she received, Adelaide finds herself bogged down with classwork for the OWLs at the end of the year. FAMILY: Father: Regulus Mother: Artemis Sister: Aiah Jackson Black -- 5th year -- cousin Issac Black -- 5th year -- cousin Draco Malfoy -- 5th year -- cousin
"Make way for the heir of Slytherin, seriously evil wizard coming through..."
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: Adelaide stormed out of the Malfoy Manor, pulling her trunk behind her. Lucius had no right to hit her like that. He didn't need to know that she got a vault key. She pulled her waned out from a front pants pocket once she reached the cross road and waved it out in front of her, signaling the Knight Bus. It arrived in a few minutes and Adelaide climbed on with her trunk. She saw that there were bench seats and chose one near the front.
"Where you headin?" the conductor asked.
"The Leaky Cauldron," Adelaide answered.
With a jump, causing Adelaide to fly forward into the window, the Knight Bus raced along the road, avoiding all the Muggle transportation. She didn't keep track of the time before they arrived at the back entrance and Adelaide climbed down, trunk behind her. She watched the bus take off and walked into the Leaky Cauldron.
"What can I get you?" the waitress asked.
"A room if one's open," Adelaide said.
The waitress nodded and led the way up the stairs and Adelaide followed.
"Here you go." The waitress opened a door and Adelaide looked in. It was small, but certainly bigger than the room that she left at the Manor.
"Thanks, I'll take it."
The waitress nodded and left while Adelaide walked into the room to unpack. She looked out the window to see the sun shining down on the shops below. After all that had happened, this was the first moment that Adelaide realized that she was on her own.
"Reading between the lines, I’d say she thinks you’re a bit conceited, mate."

Denied We’re sorry, but we found your application unsuitable for acceptance for the following reasons - ADMINS NOTE – We found a lot of godmodding in your application, including the fact that she and her sister live with the Malfoys and also how they treat Adelaide. You gave no reason for them to treat Adelaide so badly in comparison to her sister, so it is just not believable, but it is also controlling their actions and feelings towards her, which is godmodding. You also made your character very close friends with the most important canons on the board, Harry and Ron, without the consent of the players. Also, the character seems like a Mary-Sue, especially where she receives a mysterious Christmas present of a Gringotts vault without reason. That is a little bit too convenient for a character who’s had it rough for a long time. Aside from that, the appearance and personality sections are much too short and barely give any detail at all. Most of her character seems to be based on the fact that she has lived with the Malfoys for most of her life, and since that is godmodding and stepping over the authority of the people who play the Malfoys, this character will not be accepted on our board. Feel free to apply for another character. If you have any questions, PM a staff member.
