The Revolution Has Begun
"There's no need to call me sir Professor."
FULL NAME: Charlotte Reagan Leroux NICKNAMES: Usually just Charlotte, but sometimes close friends or family will call her Lottie. AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: May 24 SEXUALIY: she doesn’t like labels – mostly heterosexual but she has experimented in the past BLOODLINE: Half-blood HOUSE: Ravenclaw YEAR: seventh SIDE: neither SPECIES/SPECIAL ABILITIES: she is amazing at giving manicures CANON: no
"You don't know what I'm capable of, you don't know what I've done!"
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
All in all, Charlotte is a very attractive young woman. Though she is a lot taller than most girls her age, standing at about 5’10”, she is still very lean, thanks to her amazing metabolism, another thing she never takes for granted. She weighs about 130 pounds, though you won’t hear her declaring that number aloud. Most of her slimness is just natural, though she does on occasion like to exercise by taking a run. However, she usually finds herself too busy for such things, so she has to rely on her genes to keep her looking fit. Luckily though, that tends to work out in her favor.
Her hair is long and slightly unruly, giving off a pretty chestnut brown color. Her hair sometimes tends to be a bit on the dry side, however, and sometimes it can look a bit mousy. Still, she conditions it as much as she can to attempt to keep it in order and still enjoys the general effect it gives off. She also is quite partial to her eyes – they are a beautiful almond shape and light brown in color, and shaded underneath long, black eyelashes. She can often get her way just by glaring them at somebody, or perhaps alluring a member of the opposite sex towards her with just one look. They hold quite a lot of power for her and she is just a bit too used to manipulating people around her in order to get what she wants by using them.
The rest of her face is rather delicate, thanks to her French heritage. Her nose is small and centered perfectly on her face, while her lips are very full and round, perfect for pouting. Her skin is very light and slightly tanned, thanks to the sun. As to the rest of her body, she doesn’t have much muscle, but she is in no way weak. She is more than able to slap someone or even pack a punch when she feels she needs to, so she is certainly not one to be overlooked or misjudged based on her lean figure.
As to her style, Charlotte is rather feminine and very much a girl when it comes to how she likes to dress herself, when it’s her choice of course. When not bound to the uniform requirements of the school, she is mostly like to dress in cute tops and tight fitting pants or shorts, but she of course is more than willing to glam up for special occasions. She is definitely a friend to make-up and will usually put at least a simple layer of glam on her face every morning. Her painted faces will of course get as extravagant as the occasion calls for, but no matter what, she always makes sure she looks her absolute best.
MOST LIKED FEATURE: Her hair, especially when it’s very long. She just loves how it looks, and rather enjoys tossing it around now and again. She only has slight off days when her hair is just too ratty for her to stand, which can unfortunately sometimes happen. MOST HATED FEATURE: Her height – she’s always been on the tall side, and she often finds herself taller than a lot of boys her age, which makes her feel uncomfortable. Although she has to admit, she does like the feeling of authority that her height gives her. HERITAGE: French and English ETHNICITY: Caucasian
"The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure."
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Independent – Charlotte much prefers doing things herself than asking for any type of help. She isn’t one to refuse help when she knows that she needs it, it just takes a long time for her to accept that. She also isn’t one to rely on pretty much anyone, especially emotionally. Most of the time she prefers to sort out her own issues on her own, and though she is always willing to hear about other people’s problems and help them out, it takes a lot for her to open up about her own.
Demanding – Charlotte can be incredibly bossy, especially when she firmly believes that she is in the right. Combining that with a high place of authority, she has somewhat of a big head, and sometimes she can’t help but think that prefects and even her partner, the Head Boy, are merely tools for her to get things the way she would like them. She will often place large loads of work on certain people if she believes it will help, and if someone attempts to argue with her that another strategy would be better, she will heatedly debate with them and/or threaten them until she comes out the winner.
Determined – Another word for this might be stubborn. Charlotte hates to give up on anything she sets her mind to, and she will work as hard as she possibly can until she achieves whatever goal she sets for herself. This also goes along well with the above trait – Charlotte is incredibly determined to have things work out the way she wants them to, and she will stop at nothing to make sure she gets things her way.
Feminine – Charlotte is incredibly girly and enjoys all of the typical teenage girl activities – dressing up, make-up, painting nails, gossiping, flirting with boys – the whole works. This isn’t to say that she can’t act a little more masculine and stand up for herself when she feels the need to, but all in all, she is just a typical girl and definitely enjoys spending time with her close girlfriends.
Caring – Although it may not seem so from her somewhat harsh exterior, Charlotte is actually very caring and compassionate to those she loves. She is always willing to lend an ear and give advice when someone is in need of it. She can also be very tender if she has to, and is usually careful not to hurt anyone’s feelings if they’re already feeling down. Charlotte is rather good at picking up on other people’s emotions, and she will usually try to cheer someone up if they seem upset about something, or calm them down if they are angry.
Intelligent – Being a Ravenclaw, of course, this trait may seem rather obvious, but she likes it to be officially known. Charlotte is very bright and picks up on new concepts rather easily most of the time, and if there is something that is causing her trouble, she will work incredibly hard until she is able to figure it out. She also has a very good memory, so she is able to retrieve random bits of knowledge at her leisure, which may make her out to be even more of a know-it-all than usual.
Serious – Though Charlotte does enjoy a good laugh quite often, she can get incredibly serious, especially about her work as Head Girl. If someone makes a joke during a meeting, she will glare them down with an incredible stare that usually gets them to shut up. She has often been told that she needs to take it easy sometimes, but these people she gets thoroughly annoyed by because she assumes that they just don’t care about their own duties, putting even more responsibility on herself to get a job done.
Flirtatious – Charlotte, being a rather feminine girl, is certainly not opposed to the occasional flirt. Being blessed with the body she has, it’s usually not difficult to catch the eye of a nice looking boy. However, she hates to go farther into a relationship than casual making out. She is actually quite afraid of falling in love – she is scared that she will become too dependent on another person and lose sight of herself and her ambitions. So instead she prefers to have shameless hookups (kissing only – she is a proper lady after all) rather than settle down with a serious boyfriend. She just doesn’t have the time for that foolishness.

GENERAL HISTORY:
Ambrose Leroux was a fine young man in his day, born to English muggle Gerard Porter and a French witch named Eleanor Leroux. The two cared about each other quite a lot, but Gerard was often away from home, seeing as he was a solider serving in a war with neighboring countries. Even when their first and only child was born, Gerard had no way to make it home for the birth of their son. Upset by his absence, Eleanor did the first and only thing that occurred to her to do and wrote down her own name as their son’s surname. And so Ambrose Leroux was born. Being very lonely and not all that loyal, Eleanor would often find partners to spend time with while her husband was away, leaving young Ambrose to take care of himself for most of the time. That loneliness was confirmed when they received word that Gerard had died in battle when Ambrose was about 6 years old. His mother didn’t seem to be too troubled by the death of her husband, instead preferring to continue her adulterous ways, especially now that it was no longer considered cheating if her husband was deceased. Ambrose was often left with only a nanny to watch over him, and he kept to himself most of the time. He received a letter to Hogwarts at the age of eleven, the first word he’d ever heard of magic, even though his mother was also a witch – she had never mentioned to him what he really was. So he went off to Hogwarts willingly, hoping to find something of a home there.
It was there that he met Camilla Leferve, a beautiful young witch, also of French descent. She was in Ravenclaw, and though Ambrose was himself a Hufflepuff, he made efforts to see her whenever he could, both in and out of class. Thankfully, she returned his interests, and after a brief yet picturesque little romance, the two were very involved. They married soon after graduating Hogwarts, though they didn’t begin their family for quite a few years after that, preferring instead to just become more stable in their lives and just enjoy their time together. But when they were finally ready to start a family, they did so lovingly and with every excitement. They welcomed their first daughter during their eighth year of marriage and called her Amelie, using the same first initial as Ambrose’s first name. They were more than ecstatic with their new daughter and gave her every lavish thing they could. She was a rather spoiled little girl but never big headed, and they loved her more than anything.
Four years after that, Camilla was pregnant again and the couple welcomed their second daughter. Taking after the pattern they’d started with their first child, this time using Camilla’s first initial, they chose to call their second girl Charlotte. Charlotte too was a very beautiful baby and was given many things. Her older sister Amelie took surprisingly well to the new baby, being now four years old, and often wanted to help in whatever way she could. She was very protective of her little sister, and the two were inseparable even at Charlotte’s young age. The baby would always be calmer with her sister around, and the two were very close.
As Charlotte grew, she began to show signs of her magical ability at a very young age. Her parents were slightly concerned at the lack of Amelie’s development, but they told themselves that their girls were different, and that Amelie would come into her abilities eventually. However, as they would all soon discover, there were things much worse than lack of magic. When Charlotte was only two and her older sister was six, Amelie was diagnosed with leukemia, a blood disease that would threaten her life. The girls’ parents were distraught, and sought out every treatment they could for their daughter, but nothing seemed to work to their advantage. Amelie got sicker over the years rather than better, and time for them seemed to be running out. Charlotte, being so young, never understood why her sister wasn’t able to play with her as much as she used to, or why she took naps in the middle of the day even though she never had before. No one ever really explained to her what was going on with her Amelie, but all she knew was that she didn’t like it.
When Charlotte was five, she was told that her nine-year-old older sister was gone, and that she wouldn’t be coming back. Charlotte was confused and extremely distraught. She remembers running to her sister’s room where she would usually take naps and seeing her asleep. She rushed to her sister’s bedside, attempting to shake her sister awake, and did so until her father ran into the room behind her, restraining her while she screamed her sister’s name. Needless to say, it was a hard loss for all the family, and Charlotte was never quite the same after her sister was gone.
Since her parents had never planned on having more children and were much too distraught by their first daughter’s death, Charlotte was left an only child at the age of 5, growing up without an older sister’s guidance or any younger siblings to dote her own love upon. She still received much love and attention from her parents, though they were all suffering from their terrible loss, but it was still much better than being neglected out of depression, like some parents who have lost a child may tend to do. Charlotte learned never to take anything for granted, and she appreciated every moment she spent with her parents, good and bad (though the bad ones tended to leave her a little bitter at times). She knew it was better to be punished by her parents than to not have parents at all, and that was a lesson that some children never learned.
Charlotte was a very bright child, enjoying simple things like reading and puzzles – anything that challenged her mind. She continued to grow and develop and learn, and of course extend her magical abilities, until she finally turned eleven and received her long-awaited letter to Hogwarts. She had always been especially excited to head off to the school and learn more things, though she had to admit she was a bit scared because she didn’t quite know what to expect. It made her sad to think that Amelie would have loved Hogwarts so much, and that she would have come back from school with exciting stories to tell her younger sister about what awaited her at the magical castle. Regardless of these upsetting thoughts, however, Charlotte was anxious and excited for her future at the school, and it was with this eagerness that she boarded the train that September and headed off.
With no real surprise, Charlotte was sorted into Ravenclaw upon her arrival, and her willingness and eagerness to learn was displayed right away. She was determined in her studies as well as in every part of her life, and she always knew what she wanted and would apply herself until she figured out how to get it. She devoted her school years to living the best life she could, not only for herself but for her older sister who never got the same chance. Her parents were, of course, always proud of their daughter and her great ambitions and were always supportive of her.
When the war against Muggles started to become apparent in society, Charlotte did her best to ignore it. In her house especially, her father would turn off any news that announced the outbreak of war, since war had been what had taken his own father away at such a young age. Even though her father refused to witness any news that explained the situation, Charlotte learned most of the information at school, figuring out what exactly was happening and who was trying to stop it. Of course, even this knowledge did not do much to move her into action. In her eyes, a person’s success was based on that person’s own determination and willingness to act. If a person were to succeed, then they would just have to put forth their own effort and fend for themselves. This view definitely doesn’t discriminate against Muggles, either. She doesn’t feel the urge to protect them from anything – in her eyes, she’s perfectly fine with minding her own business. She doesn’t take sides in the war at all, but this often gets her into arguments with those that side with the Order in defense of Muggles. In her opinion, she feels like this just isn’t a fight she needs to be a part of, and so instead she focuses on her own life and career.
When she finally got to her seventh year, she was appointed Head Girl of the school and couldn’t have been any prouder. She carries her title with all the respect and responsibility that comes with it, and of course still devotes as much time as required to her studies. She hopes to become a well-respected Ministry official one day, or some sort of politician. Any sort of position where she holds some sort of power would be fine by her, and she feels that she would be more than capable of governing a large group of people. But for now, she is more than content with finishing up her final year of studies and just doing the best she can with her school and her duties as Head Girl.
