A Bit Of Lemons! Lily paced up and down her room in Hogwarts; her heart was racing as she ran her hands through her flaming red hair. It was less than an hour ago the young muggle born had been discovered petrified. The first thing Lily had done after she was free of her duties as defence against the dark arts professor was check both April and Harry were safe. Once she had satisfied herself over their safety Lily had come back to her room to think things over. What on earth was going on here? Whatever it was Lily knew her job role had increased in the danger factor. Lily sat down at her desk as scribbled a quick note to James, she knew the moment he heard what had happened he would be worried for their safety and so Lily wrote him a note to assure him they were all fine and safe.
Dearest James, I’m assuming by now you’ve heard what has happened here at Hogwarts, we are all safe so please don’t panic. Dumbledore is furious and we currently have no idea who the culprit is, we are lucky the poor girl wasn’t killed; she will be back on her feet again in a few weeks. Please don’t do anything drastic! We are all fine and I have no concern for our future safety. Precautions are being taken to ensure all students are safe. Once again please do not do anything extreme!!! Love Lily x
Lily quickly folded the piece of paper and sent it with the family owl, she knew the letter would be delivered to James within the next half hour; the owl was extremely reliable and could always seek them out with reasonable speed.

James couldn't lie - today had been one of the more insane days at work. Sometimes they came along, whether it be a Death Eater arrest or another attack in the Muggle world, and James learned to deal with them as they came along. But today was different - today he'd been hit much closer to home, and he meant that as literally as it could be taken. There had been an attack at Hogwarts - a muggleborn student that had been petrified by some monster that resided inside the castle. Many of the professors were in a state of panic, not knowing who or what had sparked this sudden attack, but perhaps no one was more panicked than James at the moment. This wasn't just a random muggle family that he'd never known - this was his wife and his kids. They were at that school, what they'd thought to be the safest place in the world, but that safe haven had now been penetrated, and James just didn't know what to think anymore.
He'd gone home early from working, hoping somewhat foolishly that perhaps Lily would be there, driven home from her place of work, or maybe just there to comfort him and reassure him that she was okay, because right now he was simply mad with worry. They hadn't been given many details on the attack, and that really didn't help the people at home that had nothing to do but fret about their loved ones.
James sat in his large, empty home, nothing but concern for his family running through his mind, when finally a scarp of news came in the form of an owl carrying a letter with his name scribbled on the front. His wife's handwriting was easily recognizable, and it was with a sense of overwhelming relief that he tore open the parchment and read the letter.
Her words were a bit of a comfort, though he had to admit he rolled his eyes at her repeating herself multiple times that he shouldn't do anything drastic. He wondered what that was supposed to mean, and if getting himself to the castle as soon as he could to see her in person would be considered drastic. Regardless, the least he could do was to write her back, so he sat down and quickly scribbled out his response.
Lils, Is there anything you need up there? They might send a few of us to the castle just to check things out as an extra precaution, and you know if they do, I'll be the first to volunteer. I wish you would come home... but I know they need as many of the Order as possible up there to protect the students. I just wish I could see you. Are the kids alright? Tell them I'll see them soon... I don't think anything can keep me away for that long.
Stay safe. See you soon.
I love you. James
