Here's a bloke you all know well, a right sarcastic git whose cruelty knows no bounds, as far as the majority of the students at Hogwarts are concerned. Snape is distant, snarky, moody, and at times just plain nasty to those he interacts with, never one for giving second chances to anyone (himself included).
[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS Perhaps friends is a bit of a strong word, though there are certainly a few students who are daft enough to look up to him. That being said, you might call him friend, but he prefers to call you acquaintance.
LOVERS . LOVERS . LOVERS . LOVERS . LOVERS
There's really only one individual I could ever see on this list, and I'm pretty sure you lot know who it is.
ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIESLet's be honest, Snape has more of his fair share of these. Childhood bullies, rivals, those who will never trust and don't particularly care for him, students he's taken 100+ points from and so forth.

Lestrange has a crush on Snape...Just saying. Well he doesn't really but he'd tell Snape that just to weird him out (him and Luscius Malfoy), in reality he really thinks Snape is a depressed, slimey git, who needs to loosen up and get a life, but he wouldn't show it. His goal in life is to drive him insane. Does that sound like a good plotting track? Or do you wanna change that and have anything to add? any story ideas maybe? Snape is so my favorite character

That sounds both annoying and highly entertaining...I love it! Will work with you to come up with some thread ideas/more in depth plot ideas later.

Well...I'm pretty sure most know where these two stand. Neither of them really care for the other, but Hermione continues to suck up to him; he is a professor after all. I'm sure Snape sees this and I'm sure he doesn't care for her much since she is a Gryffindor. Like you mentioned, I could see some classroom shenanigans occuring between the two of them. Nothing too friendly, I assume.
Any thread involving the two of them would be interesting and quite a lot of fun to write. Do you have any ideas in particular? Perhaps she could actually not know the answer to one of his questions? I'm open to anything!

Oh, I imagine Hermione not knowing the answer to a question in one of the lesson threads (I do plan to get one up eventually) would end up being quite entertaining, though a bit short lived in terms of character interactions between the two.
Hmm...perhaps she can be interested in a particular potion or book on potions. A gryffindor would eventually be able to pluck up the courage to ask him a question outside of class. That or she could get an undeserved detention for something someone else did.
Really, there are quite a good deal of possibilities. Especially given the fact that I do believe he respects her intellect on some level, given the sheer amount of stupidity he has to deal with day in and day out from many of the other students. Granted, there's not a chance he's going to let her know that she impresses him on some level (even if everyone else is willing to say that she's the brightest witch of her age). At any rate, given that this is AU and she's not as close to Harry, presumably, there's no reason why he should outright despise her.

Colden is in Slytherin so given Snape's nature i'm sure there would be some liking there. Colden was considering not taking potions but did in the end and is somewhat dark in nature and a bit of a bully to muggleborns and the young years. Snape would have been at school with his mother and maybe he can see the turmoil Colden is in because of not having his mother and not knowing his mother and try and help him? Maybe we can plot something out where he finds out about his dark mark and is all like 'oh noooo' or something along those lines

Well, I doubt there'd be an obvious 'oh no' moment. I get the feeling that Snape is in the know when it comes to who is and isn't a Death Eater, being that he spends a good deal of time masquerading as one. As for helping him, I suppose there is some chance of Snape helping him, though beyond giving minor advice, I can't see him doing anything that might compromise his position as a double agent.
Also, do tell me more about Colden's mother, as that might help shape his interactions with her son.

I agree with you on all those points! Though that would be funny, it would be a bit short lived for my tastes. Those ideas sound magnificent! Hermione likes knowing things just for the sake of knowing them. If a certain potion/book of potions caught her eye, she would eventually approach Snape. Their interactions in the books/movies are entertaining, so I assume in this AU, we could come up with something for them.
Hermione does respect Snape; he is a Professor and not a half-bad teacher. She just senses some bias in Slytherin's favor and thinks he can be mean sometimes. So, it's nice that they sort of have a mutual respect for each other. Of course she'll participate in his class thread and perhaps she'll approach him afterwards with that request. Or, maybe Snape can give her that detention at some point during the class? I'd be fine with both!

well most of the infor is HERE but basically -Pure blood metamorphagus -Was abused by her father who blamed her for the death of his wife but kept this a secret through her ability and by being rather careful -Was a bit of a bitch and was known who using spells like Crucio and other painful spells -Slept around quite a bit to try and fill the void -Was in the 'death eater circle' -Was loyal to Voldemort mainly because she wanted to escape her past and ensure she never got hurt again -Killed her father -Was very intelligent and sharp minded but tended to not use this as she didn't want to hurt her 'rep' -Very cold person As for the whole Colden thing it sounds good, wouldn't want to compromise the spy thing but maybe not helping in a sense of trying to deter him but maybe question his loyalty in a subtle way like 'do you really want to be beside the Dark Lord? Or are you just looking for protection? etc'

HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER - Well, provided we can find someone willing to get her into trouble / get her a detention, we're golden...and she could always ask after a potion/book of potions during said detention, since she'd have nothing left to lose at that point. It seems fairly logical, no?
@colden - The subtle questioning / sowing the seeds of doubt would likely work well enough.

Sounds excellent! I'm sure we can find someone willing to land Hermione in trouble. I have nothing against the Slytherin house, but 99.9% of its members would probably be willing to play dirty and get her into trouble. Just a thought though. Very few people like her; many would satisfied to watch her get a detention. And, she could ask for the book in said detention indeed. Sounds brilliant to me! If you have any ideas regarding who would be willing to sabotage her during class, let me know? [/size]

@colden - Indeed... Now to think of an idea as far as where we ought to start said thread is concerned. Hmm...care to seek out Snape for something or other? That's what everyone else seems to be doing. Tis probably why he's so irritable when folks come to his office.
HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER - Heh, that's true enough. As for who might be up for sabotaging her and landing her in detention, ask around and let me know (so I know what to expect in the lesson thread when it's up). And yes, a Slytherin is probably your best bet.

Oo I have an idea perhaps Colden is caught by Snape being mean to a first year and so Snape takes him to his office to have a stern word or after a class Snape could notice that Colden seems a little off

OMG had SUCH a great idea last night through a dream [haha rpn in my sleep]. Basically my other character Jonathan Quinn is the DADA teacher and an auror so considering Snape's shady past i'm thinking there could be a bit of a rivalry and Jonathan could be all suspicious of him
